A note from our chairperson

I’m a small business owner in the recruitment industry.

You may know me as the host of the inaugural Canadian Staffing Industry Summit held in Toronto in Spring 2023. We got over a hundred and fifty Canadian recruitment business owners, leaders, and professionals into one room with a singular focus on raising the bar in our industry.

We featured talks ranging from a panel of the leaders of some of Canada’s largest recruitment businesses to a masterclass in recruitment outsourcing. And one very consequential talk about some little-known upcoming licensing rules.

I wasn’t sure anyone could do anything about government rules that had been signed, sealed, and delivered. But we did. Individuals from across the industry came together to organize, coordinate, and collaborate. They got it done.

I launched the Forum to create a space for recruitment professionals to keep on talking to each other and working together for our collective benefit—not just once a year at a summit or when things have already gone wrong like Bill 27 did.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far. And welcome to our new and prospective members. I look forward to getting to meeting and collaborating with you all. We’re just getting started.
