As a small business owner in the recruitment industry, I’m deeply committed to ensuring that the voices of SME staffing agencies are being heard. Through the Recruitment Professionals Forum, we’re bringing together the right partners and giving members access to resources and opportunities that help grow their businesses.
You may know me as the host of the annual Canadian Staffing Industry Summit. Since its launch in 2023, we’ve had sell-out events that bring together hundreds of Canadian recruitment business owners, leaders, and professionals with a singular focus: raising the bar in our industry.
Our summits have featured diverse discussions, from panels led by the heads of Canada’s largest recruitment firms to masterclasses in recruitment outsourcing. One particularly impactful session addressed little-known licensing rules that could have significantly affected our industry.
Initially, I wasn’t sure if anyone could influence government rules that seemed set in stone. But we did. Professionals across the industry came together to organize, coordinate, and collaborate—and made meaningful changes happen.
I launched the Recruitment Professionals Forum to provide a year-round platform for recruitment professionals to connect, share insights, and work collectively to strengthen our industry—not just at the annual summit or when crises like Bill 27 arise.
Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far, and welcome to our new and prospective members. I look forward to meeting and collaborating with all of you. Together, we can continue to make a real difference for SME staffing agencies and the wider industry.
We’re just getting started.
